Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lateral Partner to join our Washington D.C.
office. The ideal candidate will bring a book of business that complements our
existing practice areas, further strengthening our ability to serve our tribal clients
effectively. This role is suited for a seasoned attorney who is deeply
committed to the field of federal Indian law and looks to make a significant
impact within the firm and the broader community we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance
the firm's Indian law practice by bringing and expanding a complimentary
book of business.
- Provide
expert legal services in various aspects of tribal law, including but not
limited to federal lobbying, tribal governance, economic development,
litigation, natural resources, and cultural resource protection.
- Lead
complex legal projects and provide strategic advice to tribal governments
and their enterprises.
- Collaborate
with other partners to drive the firm's growth and maintain its commitment
to excellence in client service.
- Contribute
to the firm's thought leadership on tribal law through publications,
seminars, and speaking engagements.
Qualifications:
- J.D.
from an accredited law school and admission to the District of Columbia bar.
- Minimum
of 10 years of legal experience, primarily in tribal law or closely
related fields.
- Proven
track record of developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Demonstrated
ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Strong
commitment to the firm's values and mission of serving tribal communities.
